DIY Spa Day ♡

Hello Lovelies ♡

Feeling stressed, need some spa time but don’t have the budget to allow for a full spa day at the moment… let me introduce you to the DIY Spa Day. One of my favorite things to do when I want to treat myself!You could even use this as a gift idea for an upcoming birthday, bachelorette party, Mother’s day gift , you name it. Grab your best pal, your momma bear, your partner and indulge together.

When we imagine a SPA DAY we image relaxing messages, rejuvenating baths, soothing facials and the perfect manicure and we also imagine what comes along with that…A LOT OF MONEY! As lovely as it is to go to a Spa, it’s not always a viable option but that doesn’t mean you can’t indulge in the joys of relaxation that a spa day brings.


Here are my DIY SPA DAY Tips…


Step 1

First order of the day, lay out some healthy food snacks and make some “Spa water”.

What is Spa water? Basically, it is fruit infused water. Why is it good? Water gives oxygen to your cells, flushes out toxins, aids in digestion and circulation as well as improving your state of mind. Why add fruit? The fruit we add introduces healthy nutrients, minerals, and antioxidants to our body. Cucumbers, for example, have Vitamin A, C, and K in them as well as Potassium which makes strong bones. They also say that cucumber contains Vitamin B – 5 which has been said to be effective in the treatment of acne.

Some examples of treats could be:

♡ Fruit Skewers

Why not put some fruit like Strawberries, Grapes, Melons, BlueBerries and Pineapple on skewers.(Spice it up and be naughty by adding some dark chocolate.)

♡ Frozen Yoghurt Berry Bites

Grab an ice tray. Chop up some strawberries and or blueberries and and put them in the ice tray, pour some vanilla flavoured yoghurt over them and pop that into the freezer.

♡ Pancakes or Waffles

If you feel like being lazy, just go and get some already made pancakes or waffles, no judgment, you might just find me doing the same thing.

♡ Spa water recipe

Add some chopped up Strawberries, Blueberries & Lemon into a jug of water. If you like you can add in some rose water as well.

Step 2

Make some DIY Spa products which can translate into some great gift ideas.

♡ DIY Foot Soak

  • 1 Cup Epsom Salts
  • 1/2 Cup Baking Soda (Bicarbonate of soda)
  • 1/2 Cup Sea Salt (slightly coarse)
  • 5 Drops Lavender Essential Oil
  • 2 Drops Purple Food Colouring
  • ♡ DIY Sugar Scrub
  • 10 Drops Lavender Essential Oil
  • 1 Cup Sugar- 1/4 Cup Coconut Oil
  • 2 drops of Purple Food Colouring
  • ♡ DIY Foot Lotion
  • 1 Cup Cocoa Butter
  • 1/4 Cup of Coconut Oil
  • 5 Drops Lavender Essential Oil
  • 10 Drops of Vitamin E Oil
  • 2 drops of Purple Food Colouring
  • (Mix the Cocoa Butter and Coconut Oil together over a double boiler. (One pot on top of another pot with boiling water)).

Step 3

Lay out a collection of your favourite nail polishes, face masks, magazines and movies.
